Building a network of AI trainers for West Africa's small businesses
The ESBC Master Trainer Program is delivered by the ECOWAS Small Business Coalition (ESBC) with InnoPower. It trains professionals from government agencies, NGOs and financial institutions, who then teach practical AI skills to MSME owners in their own communities, with a focus on women and young entrepreneurs.
Trainers learn to use the ECOWAS Business AI Studio (ESBC.ai), a platform built for MSMEs to automate tasks, gather market intelligence and find financial resources, and then show business owners how to put it to work. The program was launched in Abuja in August 2026 with government and development partners.
